Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of animalreliefnetwork.org (the “Site”), operated by Animal Relief Network (“Animal Relief Network,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

About Animal Relief Network

Animal Relief Network is recognized as a tax-exempt public charity as described in Sections 501(c)(3), 509(a)(1), and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRS EIN 33-3924217) and is registered as a Texas nonprofit organization (Texas Nonprofit ID 805941067).

Content on the Site, including our donor guides, gift planning pages, and research articles, is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not legal, tax, investment, or financial advice, and it does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and on laws that can change. Please consult qualified professionals before making any gift or financial decision.

Donations

• Tax deductibility. Contributions to Animal Relief Network are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We provide written acknowledgments of gifts as required by the IRS.
• Voluntary and final. All gifts are voluntary. Completed gifts are generally final and non-refundable. If you believe a gift was made in error, please contact us promptly and we will review your request.
• Designations. You may request that a gift support a particular program, purpose, or partner organization, and we make every reasonable effort to honor your wishes. To fulfill our charitable purposes and comply with the law, Animal Relief Network retains final authority over the use of contributed funds. If a designated purpose can no longer be carried out, we will apply the gift to a closely related purpose within our mission.
• Planned and complex gifts. Life income gifts, gifts of complex assets, and estate gifts are governed by the specific agreements and documents that create them. Acceptance of any non-cash or complex gift is subject to our review.

Partner organizations and third-party sites

The Site lists and links to nonprofit organizations we work with. These organizations are independent of Animal Relief Network. A listing on the Site describes our relationship and does not mean that an organization endorses us or that we are responsible for its programs, content, or conduct. Partner names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify those organizations.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Text messaging terms

By providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages from Animal Relief Network, you consent to receive messages about your inquiry, your gift, and updates you request. Consent is not a condition of making a gift. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and design, are owned by Animal Relief Network or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use our name or logo without our written permission. Photographs are used under license from their respective owners.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by introducing malicious code or overloading it with automated requests.
• Impersonate Animal Relief Network or misrepresent your affiliation with us, including by soliciting donations in our name without authorization.
• Use the Site to send spam or collect information about others without their consent.

Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Animal Relief Network and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Animal Relief Network and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Animal Relief Network regarding the Site.
